the borrowed bottle was born out of a love for wine, diy and seaglass! Using recycled wine & liquor bottles for re-creation, each bottle is hand cut, sanded and polished. Any unused glass is then broken down for crushed glass art or tumbled for faux seaglass to ensure there is no waste. Authentic shells, driftwood and sand have been gathered from Cape Cod shores and added to some items you will find here as well.
Our items are handmade from beginning to end to ensure each piece is unique.
Meet the Artist:
Jenny is a Massachusetts native whose love for all things glass + beach - inspired the borrowed bottle. A wine enthusiast to the core, she began learning about glass cutting in 2016 as a way to recycle and repurpose wine bottles into cute decor and other practical items. In 2017, she spent her first full summer season on Cape Cod and was formally introduced to the term *beachcombing*, which very quickly became an obsession with collecting seaglass.
When not creating new items, you can find her & her dog - Ziggy - with family, friends, or naturally, at the beach!
